November, 2005: Better Save the
Women & Children First...
October was i-n-s-a-n-e, as
we launched several sites at the same
time, fully upgraded our servers, and
hired a few new folks as well. So there
is lots to say.
The
Big Big news of late is we got the
revamp of Break Down Way.com
(online guitar lessons)
finished, now upgraded with a more
modern feel and more sophisticated
user controls. We also held our
first bi-annual "Summit"
here in Athens, as our owners David
Wolff and Jorma & Vanessa Kaukonen
all made sure to be at the same
place at the same time with our
staff, planning and plotting of
this successful venture. Check the
site here,
and check the vid here --> .
Our designer Ted Hall and his
lovely wife Amy gave birth to
a healthy baby boy named River Aiden last
month, so we all know he's getting like
no sleep... but congratulations
man!! Jessica Harse rejoins
the staff as our resident photoshop whiz,
and we're really happy to get her back.
FInally, new recruit Luke Potter
is kicking ass over in the server, programming
areas, and we could not be in better hands.
We recently found out Luke was, as he
said, "a little right of center,"
but I think we'll get over it. ;) And
of course the king, Jef Shilt,
Eden's go-to workhorse. Long
may you run.
Tons
of new projects on the horizon.
Besides our valued and trusted VIP's,
(our weekly / monthly accounts,)
we have taken on the following projects
to feed us for winter.
- Online Wholesale Distribution System
for Pachamama Imports of San Jose, CA
- Buckeye Goat Meat Task Force, dont ask
;) - but it will be c-o-o-l
- Adjustments and site work for Studio
E Music
- A really neat site for a local Artist
to include online ordering
- back end database system for the Corporation
for Ohio Appalachian Development
- Upgrades and site work for Willow Run
Ranch, owned by Terry Anderson
- Shopping Cart/ Web presence for Virgo
Wine Importers
- Redesign of Hot Tuna.com
- Some long overdue adjustments to ReUse
Industries.org
- "OhioTeenline.org" - a helpful
resource for kids in need
So yeah, we're busy. Very excited for
all this and welcome to all the new clientele
into the fold
Alright, I can pretty much guarantee
this is the last free moment I am gonna
have for an update for awhile, so until
next time, be well.
September, 2005:
The Hills are Alive... with the
Sounds of Music
Fall is in the air and we are kicking
out websites like there is no tomorrow.
Some cool new stuff to show off.
First
off, legendary bassist Jack
Casady (this guy actually
played with Jimi Hendrix! - beat
that with a stick) has a new site
located at www.jackcasady.com.
Chock full of incredible graphics,
flash video, and a wicked cool photo
album, this site is sure to be one
for the ages. Check it out here.
Quite the flipside, we finally got enough
spare time to get our resident artist
Kevin
Morgan his website, simple,
but effective. This site, which took us
years to get going - (it's always the
housepainters house that needs painted)
- features some bio info, cool links,
and some sample images from his storied
works. Check it out here.
Next
up some cool projects in the works,
a re-haul of the ever popular Break
Down Way site (where you
can take guitar lessons from musical
masters,) a possible new site for
Woody Mann, one
of the most talented guitar players
in the world, and a new
site for Hot Tuna, by far
the greatest rock band the world
has ever known. We do make websites
for people other than musicians,
but it seems to certainly have become
our specialty.
One thing that is non musical related
coming down the pipe is teenlineohio.org,
a soon to be division of our VIPs the
Southern Consortium for Children, located
right here in good ol' Athens, Ohio. This
site will be a resource for teens to communicate
with social workers, as well as their
peers, for support on teen issues. We
are excited to be doing this, and we'll
have some stuff to show you on that real
soon.
Until then- enjoy the fall, and go
browns.
August 2005: The Summer
after the Summer of Love
Man this summer has been an absolute
blast so far... visits from old friends
and family members, concerts and outdoor
festivals, and many, many fun and challenging
projects to keep us off the streets and
out of our Wives' hair. And speaking of
"streets;"
The
first annual "Boogie
on the Bricks"
street party went off without a
hitch on Saturday, July 16, in uptown
Athens. What a fun event!
Eden sponsored this outdoor music
festival and kidsfest along with
dozens of local Athens businesses
and was proud to do so. Rain scattered
through every now and then, but
it failed to damper the spirits
of our town. Thanks to all who were
involved, and Eden looks forward
to next year's date.
Eden was pleased and flattered to learn
we have been nominated for two
awards from The Information Technology
Alliance of Appalachian Ohio, the first
being "Best Website"
- for www.jeffersonairplane.com,
to which I think longtime JeffAir manager
and our good buddy in biz Bill
Thompson nominated us for, must mean
he's please with the work we did last
summer - to which we still refer to as
the "second summer of love,"
and the second award being "Best
IT Company" - who which
we have no clue at all who nominated us
for, but whoever it was... thanks!
The Gala where winners
will be announced, and friendships formed,
will be held on Wednesday, July 27th,
at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
We'll keep you posted on how we fair,
but more importantly, Eden is eager with
anticipation at the thought of mingling
with all the fine folks that make up our
vibrant appalachian tech community. Read
more about the event on ITAAO's website,
here.
Dine
Across America was just launched
recently... this project was the brainchild
of one Jon Sparhawk, owner of The Oak
Room, as well as Tuscano's, both upscale
restaurants in Athens, Ohio.
Dine
Across America.com is a
fully comprehensive search engine
wherein users can search the massive
database of independent restaurants,
not chains, not like McDonalds or
Ruby Tuesday's or anything like
that, the mission is to promote
America's independent restaurants,
who may not have a massive promotional
budget to compete with chain restaurants.
This Eden Marketing/ Intelliwave
project is merely in phase 1, and plans
to grow into many new and intriguing facets
in the near future.
Finally, Eden is beginning several fun
projects we want to tell you about. The
first, is finally... a website for Athens'
most prolific artist, Kevin Morgan. www.kevinmorganstudios.com
has energy behind it, and should go live
sometime in the fall.
And Jorma strikes again, keeping the
eden boys "balls to the wall"
- this time, a complete modernization
and redesign of www.hottuna.com,
as well as a massive overhaul to www.breakdownway.com
- Jack and Jorma's online guitar lesson
classroom.
And
speaking of tunes, Curtis and the
gang over at Big
Events Presents are
going to be putting on an outdoor
concert in Athens on Saturday, Sept.
17 at the Fairgrounds, that promises
to easily be the biggest outdoor
concert in Athens County history...
70 bands performing over 85 sets!
That's over 45,466,372 notes! Eden
is proud to be Curtis' go to guys
for all his production needs.
We have also recently signed to design
a fully functional website and database
for the Ohio Goat Meat Producers
Association, which we welcome
them into the garden and look forward
to that, and all our ongoing projects,
including Playhouse Square in Cleveland,
Ohio, the Southern Consortium for Children,
Court Street Management, & Avalanche
Inc.
And that's the skinny from the front,
Captain, more soon, as events arise. Rock
steady.
June 2005: Ahhh, now that's
brisk, baby!
Summer, what a wonderful time. Dusting
off the golf clubs and tennis racquets
and getting a little sunshine on our pale-faces
goes a long way in making the 'can-do'
fellas over at Eden Marketing a little
more at ease with the world. And its a
good thing we are good at Web Design,
as our softball team at the time of this
writing is 0-6, so, as they say in the
industry... don't quit yer day job
buddy.
Avalanche
John recently opened his
second shop, in Lancaster, Ohio,
and in celebration, we recently
opened his new and improved website
located at www.avalanchepizza.net,
full of fun graphics and menu items
that haunted our appetites all through
production.
And speaking of new websites, Bernie
Nau of UDance
Records now has a complete
online ordering system installed so fans
and students of Irish Dance Music can
now download MP3s of custom set dance
tunes encoded at various beats per minute,
no easy feat I assure you but one that
was a joy to work on with such a fine
man and fine organization.
A
slew of other projects were recently
wrapped up allowing owner Rome to
breathe a little easier and be on
the lookout for new opportunities.
Last month saw the completion of
the Corporation for Ohio
Appalachian Development (COAD)
site come to life, and we would
like to thank that good folks over
there for the privilege to serve.
Also, check out Playhouse Square's
latest installment of the Broadway
Buzz! - the last performance
of the season features the play Hairspray,
more fun than humans should be allowed.
And
wait... there's more! As some of
you know owner Roman plays bass
in the local blues band known as
the Royales, pronounced
like the casino, not the baseball
team, who recently launched their
online presence here: www.theroyalesband.com
Finally, we would like to welcome
our newest member/ subcontractor Luke
Potter, a computer supra-genius
who is gonna make short work of some our
more difficult tasks, and make life even
easier for all of us around the shop,
to which we are eternally grateful.
That's the news from the front, more
soon.
May 2005:
Shine on You Crazy Diamond
Lots to report on, as last month saw
more activity than a bathtub full of baby
kittens. First off, Eden Marketing
is moving towards a "Service Agreement"
based method of care for our clients.
Current or past clients of Eden Marketing
will still enjoy the same outstanding
service, with 48 hour turnaround time,
consultations by request, weekly activity
as usual, and the same personalized care
they have come to expect from Eden. New
clients wishing to take advantage of our
skills should contact us to be added to
our waiting list.
Our official Waiting List date begins:
Thursday,
December 2, 2005
Never fear however, as if you need projects
sooner than that, we have many fine friends
and colleagues whom we refer business
too often, so if you want to call and
chat, you will be well cared for.
Eden owner Roman has been filling in
as a guest writer for the Athens
NEWS, Southeast Ohio's largest
newspaper. Read his entries as correspondent
for the "Athens Music Scene"
here: 4/21/05
I 4/28/05
Finally,
we recently completed the most recent
edition of Playhouse Square's
"Broadway Buzz"
- a monthly e-newsletter which promotes
their current entertainment. This
month's play is "Oklahoma!"
- and you can view the newsletter
here: www.playhousesquare.com
That should do it for the news this month.
Lots going on to attend to, the launch
of the new Avalanche Pizza site, Jack
Casady's site is about done, and we should
have Bernie Nau of UDance Records selling
MP3s in no time, also, May 7th, the Chamber
of Commerce Golf Tournament which we are
sure to stink up the course with, but
it should be a great month.
April, 2005: More Launches
than Cape Canaveral
The "can-do fellas" at Eden
Marketing have been busier than all
get out launching our recent projects
and turning our attention to new opportunities.
Everything is smooth sailing as we head
into our fifth successful year of operations,
and we have many new and shiny things
to show off to ya.
First
off, our prestigious client and
good friend Jorma
Kaukonen has a new
website, featuring a cleaner layout
and many new features. Jorma, certainly
one of the best guitarist of all
time, and one heck of a nice guy
told me to tell you that he loves
his new site, and recommends Eden
highly. ;)
UDance
Records, a company that records
and sells Irish Dance Music recently retained
Eden to produce a system wherein customers
can order "downloadable MP3's"
- and download them to their own computers
to burn onto CD. No easy feat let me assure
you, and we are thankful for this blossoming
relationship.
Also,
we recently launched "Communities
of Care" dot com,
a website dedicated to helping individuals
find answers for problems relating
to Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and
Mental Health issues. This useful
site is the brainchild of one Steve
Trout, Executive Director
of the Southern Consortium for Children,
another of Eden's valued clients',
and an all around good guy. Special
thanks goes out to Amanda
Conrath as well for her
hard work and dedication to this
new venture.
But enough about us... let's talk about
you! Does your business have a
mailing list? If you don't, an
electronic newsletter list is an amazingly
cost effective way to alert interested
parties to new events, specials, news,
and anything else you may feel is valuable
to them. And now, Eden can aid you buy
producing mind bending html emails,
complete with graphics, links, and many
other interactive features. Don't just
e-mail, "eden-mail" them.
Finally, we would like to welcome one
Mr. Barry Mitterhoff
to the Eden clientele. Barry is an astounding
Mandolin player of national acclaim, whom
we are excited to be his source for web
solutions. Rock on Barry, and to all of
you, have a great month!
March, 2005:
Steppin' it up a notch...
Blow the socks off of last years
sales numbers by hiring Eden
Marketing to install "Google Ad-Words"
for you and your website venture. By choosing
a few simple key words, your specially
targeted ad can be showing up under Google's
"Sponsored Links" area
in no time.
By now no doubt you've heard the buzz,
and there's a reason why these
two dudes are multi-zillionaires... the
stuff works! You get instant traffic to
your site by people interested in exactly
what you have to offer. You can even set
your daily budget, so you can spend as
much or as little as you choose, and you
can always edit your account should business
prove too much to keep up with.
This is a perfect example of "pull
marketing" in action. Don't
get me started on all the senseless ways
business owners blow their advertising
budgets by shouting into the wind, this
method of marketing is specifically targeted
towards real bona fide business prospects
who want to throw money in your direction.
Compete with the "big boys"
with this secret weapon of web advertising.
March is here and Spring just around
the corner, and the "can do fellas"
at Eden Marketing are busy as ever knocking
out this finishing touches on many many
new websites. Excitement is in the air!
We also have so many new projects sprouting
up, we are truly thankful for all the
wonderful opportunities we have bestowed
upon us.
Do
you need online video production?
Eden Marketing now offers
several services which can get your
videos online in a jiffy. From simple
video for a variety of players (Real
Player, Windows Media, Quicktime,
etc.) to more advanced multimedia
productions that involve synchronized
video and slide show presentations.
Click the image to the right to
see a nice example of a video that
involves many forms of media. This
particular sample utilized the Real
Player technology, so make sure
you have Real installed or the link
may just bomb on ya'.
Take online
guitar lessons from
the masters using Real Player.
Finally,
we would like to congratulate our
good friends over at Frognet,
a locally owned and operated ISP
who recently turned 9 years old!
No easy feat let me assure you.
Congrats to Chip, Dan, Matt, and
all the good folks over at the Frog,
the "Friendliest geeks
in the business."
February, 2005:
Blue Skies... Nothing but Blue Skies
February has found the Eden crew down
in sunny Florida, meeting with several
key clients as well as training a brand
new employee. We have, however, found
time to soak up some sun and play a little
friendly golf, something we can't do during
the Winter at our home base in cold, cold
Athens, Ohio.
the view
from the Eden room in St. Augustine,
Florida
We've pretty much been all over the state...
be bopping around between Orlando, Daytona
Beach, Melrose, St. Augustine, and most
points in between. This trip has rejuvenated
us, and we have a clear set of goals and
ideas to carry us through 2005 and beyond.
Also
in February, we completed a supporting
site for Billy Joel's Broadway
Musical entitled "Movin'
Out" - which
includes show information in regards
to his performances at the Playhouse
Square in Cleveland, Ohio, featuring
interviews with the cast, and news
about the man, the myth, and the
legend. Check out the site here.
Eden Marketing is growing,
and we can now take on YOUR project:
As you may have noticed, business
is booming and we recently hired
a few good folks to help out with
the load. So don't shy away, if
you are in need of website production,
marketing assistance, or graphic
design, hit the contact
page and sock it to us.
The Legendary
Billy Joel
January, 2005: Hit the Ground
Runnin...
2005 has arrived and with it, a sense
of optimism and intrigue as there seems
to be opportunity at every corner. We
here at Eden Marketing would like to take
just a second to stop and express a profound
sense of gratitude for all of the blessings
and good fortunes we experienced through
you over the course of 2004.
We recently signed
with the Coalition for Ohio Appalachian
Development (COAD) who hired eden
for a total rehaul of their website
- a new "look" and some
extra special features. Eden looks
forward to working with the Coalition,
and is excited to join forces to
create an informative and functional
upgrade to the site. Woodcut
by Mike Keyes
Negotiations are currently in progress
for many other website projects
with several national and regional
organizations, making 2005 chock
full of incredible opportunity.
Eden is also in need of sunshine to make
its powers grow, so a business trip to
Daytona Beach is on the agenda for late
January. Business will of course go on
un-interrupted, but the Eden staff is
looking forward to meeting with several
key figures from Florida for training
and possible business relationships.
Finally,
we hope to knock out several winter
projects that we have been focused
on lately, including the final touches
on Frog Ranch, Huntley Photography,
Playhouse Square, Communities of
Care, and Evans Trends.
We also will be completing
website upgrades for two of the
5 members of Jefferson Airplane's
rock n rollers. Jorma and Jack's
personal sites will each be updated
and modernized in no time flat.
Thanks again for all of your support
over 2004, and we look forward to a busy
and prosperous 2005.
ADDED 1/15/05: One of
our most important computers went down
on Thursday and Eden would like to thank
Mark Amon of ACME for his quick response
and excellent craftsmanship getting us
back up and running. If your local, and
need the best computer repair guy in the
area, call Mark at 740-592-1345, or check
his site here: http://www.acmellc.com/
December, 2004: Lights,
Camera... Action!
Happy Holiday season to you all, and
we hope you all are doing well. We're
pluggin' away and having fun as usual,
working on a wide variety of projects
and getting things finished so we can
take a short break.
In November we took
on a really neat new client, "Playhouse
Square" up in Cleveland,
Ohio. Playhouse Square is the second
largest playhouse in the U.S., and
is known for putting on such timeless
live performances as Mark Twains
"Big River,"
and Disney's "On The Record."
Eden has been building some online applications
to better enable Playhouse Square to take
ticket orders online, as well as creating
a fun and eye popping monthly newsletter
- devoted to the play of the month. You
can check it out here.
In other
eden news... we were recently featured
in the Athens NEWS,
Athens, Ohio's local newspaper. The
topic of the story was on how we man
the "online cockpit" for
one of the most legendary rock bands
in history, Jefferson Airplane. Writer
Jim Phillips did an amazing job, and
Ed Venrick is the photo master. =) Check it out
here
Finally, Roman also appeared at the "A.M.
Rotary Club" in Athens on
December 2, 2004, speaking to about 30
wonderful members.
The Rotary's mission statement... "Service
Above Self," found Eden well,
as we are always on the lookout to be
kind to our fellow humans. The discussion
took place over a wonderful breakfast,
at the Ohio University Inn, and centered
around how the internet has transformed
not only the world in the past 8 to 10
years, but our region of appalachia as
well.
Eden thanks the Rotary for the invite,
and looks forward to meeting with you
all again very soon.
November, 2004: Gearing
up for the Holiday Season
In the online world, the holidays seem
to start around the first of November.
Every client should take a peek at their
online stores and make sure they are ready
for the onslaught of festive ordering
that takes place. We have been pretty
busy helping our clientele do just that!
Our pride
and joy from the 2003 series of Eden
websites, BreakDownWay.com,
have recently added the option of
subscriptions to their purchasing
options. Imagine, $14.00 to have Jorma
in your guitar case anytime, anywhere.
This has got to be the coolest music
service online anywhere. Perfect gift
idea for the musician in your life.
October, 2004: Sailing on
the Seas of Cheese
Fall is in the air and the boys and girls
at Eden Marketing are busy as ever. Jefferson
Airplane.com has met with rave reviews,
which we are all very proud of, and we're
on to the next jobs at hand.
This
month's big duties are of course keeping
up with our valued ongoing accounts, as
well as finishing off websites for Frog
Ranch, Communities of Care, Robert Evans,
and former journalist/ hostage Terry Anderson's
site for his yacht, "Freedom,"
which sails around the Caribbean just
waiting for the Eden staff to go down
and take some much needed R&R, yeah,
we wish. Designer Ted Hall is doing a
bang up job and this site should be set
for sail in October easy.
September, 2004:
Update
We launched Jefferson Airplane this week!
Very exciting stuff. Special thanks to
Miss Lindsay Eyink (design team,) Jef
Shilt (programmer extraordinairre,) BCPub
(hosting & web tools,) Bill Thompson
(the Airplane's manager,) and of course
Vanessa Kaukonen. Long may you run, check
the site here!
September, 2004: Holy Cow We're
Busy!
Well, we're making progress. The NEW
& IMPROVED Fur Peace Ranch Company
Store is up, and selling. This thing
is wicked cool, with every feature you
can imagine and more. This store is based
off of Interchange technology, and we
have 2 more of these to spit out this
month, for Frog Ranch Foods, and the famous
Jefferson Airplane.
Speaking
of the Airplane, very exciting stuff here.
Tuesday (9/21) their long awaited DVD
"Fly Jefferson Airplane"
is released and Eden has revamped their
website to support not only the DVD, but
to carry the band long into the new millennium.
Our new site will be launched on Tuesday
as well, so check
it out.
Other than that - we are still cranking
on finishing up Frog Ranch, Bob Evans,
Communities of Care, and journalist/ ex-hostage/
and senator to be Terry Anderson's "Charter
Freedom dot com," a website to support
his yacht which allows visitors to book
their spot for a dream cruise.
So, as you can see, we have our hands
full. Eden plans on taking no no business
until 2005, so we can knock out all these
special projects, come up for air, and
focus on our ongoing clientele. Contact
us though if you need web design, as we
have a few colleagues who are talented
and in need of work.
August, 2004:
The Calm Before the Storm
August, 2004 has been extremely busy,
as we prepare for the Fall launches of
several national websites. Jefferson Airplane,
the online home of one of the most influential
bands in history, is proceeding as scheduled
and has more parts laid out on the floor
than a 1966 Etsel. FrogRanch is nearly
complete, as well as the most wicked online
store you have ever seen, which is all
dolled up and ready for Jorma Kaukonen.
None of this is ready to be seen, so you'll
have to take our word for it that indeed
we have been working and not playing golf
a few times a week, really, honest.
We
also recently signed Robert Evans to our
roster. Robert (Bob) Evans was a longtime
correspondent for CBS news, and is currently
the stand-in for Wolf Blitzer, the famous
CNN anchorman. Robert and Eden are building
a site to showcase his formidable "professional
speaking" services, focusing on his
expertise with Counter Terrorism issues.
Robert Evans,
circa 1970.
Oh, and we also took a week off to eat
ice cream and sleep in, and we all got
to see the Spider Man movie, finally,
so peace has been restored to the village.
Check us out mid-September for more new
shiny things to brag about.
That, and our chief Graphic Designer
Kevin Morgan, and his lovely wife Janet
are set to have their third child any
day now, so... storms' a comin'!
July, 2004: San Francisco
Trip a Resounding Success!
Eden Marketing Owner Roman Warmke spent
the week out in San Francisco serving
as Faculty for the 2004 Training Institute,
a production of the National Technical
Assistance Center for Children's Mental
Health. Eden's presentation was in conjunction
with the Southern Consortium for Children,
and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic
Medicine. Our speech(es) covered the varied
aspects of "tele-health" and
was well received by the many fine attendees
at this week long conference.
While in San Francisco, we also had a
chance to meet up with legendary band
manager Bill Thompson, of Jefferson Airplane
/ Starship for a tour, and planning session
for the new website due out this fall.
Thanks to all who helped make this trip
a success! Here
are some photos from the trip!
Eden
Marketing launches first phase of the
Fur Peace Ranch.com Redesign!
This new redesign is an improvement on
our already award winning site, furpeaceranch.com
- and features many new and exciting features,
and everything you need to know about
this amazing seasonal guitar instructional
facility and concert hall.
Eden is proud to serve Jorma and Vanessa,
and looks forward to Phase 2 of this project,
a brand spankin' new kick butt online
store with all the fixins.
June, 2004: For the Eden boys...
It's off to San Francisco!
In
conjunction with the Ohio University College
of Osteopathic Medicine, The Southern
Consortium for Children, and Eden Marketing,
the three organizations will be presenting
a seminar in San Francisco in late June
entitled "Tele-health & Technology
in the Social Work Industry."
While in San Fran, Eden will also be
meeting with the band Jefferson Airplane
to put the final approval on the exciting
new website upgrade plans.
Eden Marketing, & Fur Peace
Management launch Nick Curran Music.com
On
June 10th, we launched the official website
of Austin, Texas' premiere jump/blues
band, Nick Curran & the Nightlifes.
Nick is a WC Handy award winning bluesman,
who has shared the stage with everyone
from Ronnie Dawson to Jimmie Vaughan.
This website features some nice web tricks,
bulletin board, online store, extensive
site manager, and a whole lot more.
May, 2004: Eden Marketing launches
the official website for the 317 Mental
Health & Drug Addiction Counseling Board.
The
Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health
Services Board of Athens, Hocking and
Vinton Counties (317 Board) creates a
Network of Care for people who need prevention
and treatment of mental illness and/ or
alcohol and drug addiction.
The 317 Board is a local mental health
and alcohol and drug addiction authority
for the tri-county area and is made up
of eighteen citizens representing the
three counties. The 317 Board's role is
to design policies, evaluate programs,
access funds and monitor services for
those seeking help.
Bush?
Kerry? Nader? We say lets bring harmony
back to the White House with a vote for
legendary rocker Jorma Kaukonen.
Jorma For President.com is open
and fully operational... just in time
for the primaries to begin.
April, 2004: Eden Marketing/
Southern Consortium For Children, Win
Esteemed Award!
The Southern Consortium For Children,
along with Eden Marketing were congratulated
on a job well done by the Annapolis,
Maryland "Educational Innovator
Award" - bestowed upon
us in early April, 2004. This award recognizes
the work both organizations have done
promoting Children's Health issues on
the internet via the website, www.cbhed.com.
March, 2004: Eden Marketing,
the Southern Consortium For Children,
and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic
Medicine launch the "Children's Behavioral
Health Education" website, chbed.com.
The
website, entitled Children's Behavioral
Health Education, enables users
to take online courses via streaming video,
and receive state recognized education
credits, expanding various types
of social work training.
Using "Streaming Video," users
take a series of online courses and tests
and can print their state recognized"CEU"
diploma off in real time! We enjoyed working

February, 2004: Wall Street
Journal
Wall Street Journal Reporter Michael Flagg
reviewed several websites pertaining to
music education/ music camps, etc. in a
column called "Music Camp Websites
- Desktop Traveler".
Michael described 6 individual websites,
pointing out in particular furpeaceranch.com's
usability, saying "eveything's
easy to find, including pictures and a
Typical Day at the Ranch." The
Fur Peace website was created by Eden
Marketing & Fur Peace Management.
Eden is thrilled to be mentioned in such
a prestigious publication, and looks forward
to improving the site to include more
features over the course of 2004.
January, 2004: Eden's strategy
pays off.

presented client John Gutekanst, owner
of Avalanche Pizza, with the annual ANews

Avalanche Pizza won many categories, including
Best Pizza, Best Business with a Conscience,
as well as "Best Advertising

handed the award over to Eden saying "here...
you actually won this for us for the wonderful
ad strategies you employed for us... we
thank you."
And we thank you as well John, as well
as all the employees at Athens' favorite
Pizza shop, Avalanche Pizza, East State
Street in Athens, Ohio.
Coincidentally, Eden Owner Roman Warmke
was presented the award for "Best
